I've been online a while. Six years, to be precise. I've met some wonderful people, including my hubby. I've had fights and arguments, had upsets and tears...but i've also loved, been loved and had many many nights of fun filled chat with the people i have come to consider my family.
Recently, my beloved chat home has been plagued by trolls and sick twisted people who think they can run off die hard room owners like myself by posting all manner of things that NOBODY should ever have to see. We as room owners are doing what we can, the server staff are doing all they can...but it's not enough. We can't save our chat homes if we don't have chatters! Social networking sites like Myspace and Facebook have distracted people from the true social act of CHATTING and i'm sad. Yes, i have a myspace. Yes i have a facebook. But i'd rather be sitting in a chatroom full of my friends, in REAL time...talking, laughing, crying if necessary, helping them out with their issues then and there rather than waiting for them to log in and see my emails.
Chat is a way for us to escape the pressures of "real life", to connect with people we love and haven't seen for years, to relax and have fun...and i will NOT be stopped from doing the one thing that has brought so many wonderful people into my life.
Every server has issues. Every server has trolls. But unless chatters and room owners alike band together and send them a message that they CANNOT run us off, they will continue to behave this badly until there's nothing left BUT the trolls. They are bullies...cowards...and like any bully, they can give it out but they sure as HELL can't take it.

Awesome and very well said,i'm am very offened by the crap they have posted and contiune to do so,afaid both rooms i work in have been hit and i see the effects its having on the chatters and well as the owners the trolls are so very hurting yer chat home's and mine.talk city will always be my chat home no matter what happens there,my boss's wont leave tc either coz of the trolls but sad to say so many have and are doing so as i write this.Hoping the trolls get bored and move elsewhere
